Day Programs for Adults with Developmental Disabilities
The Meadows is pleased to announce a new alternative to a Day Treatment & Training Program, the New, Day Training Activity Center (D-TAC) for adults with Developmental Disabilities offering a variety of activities and services, such as personal centered outcomes, independent living skills, social skills, health and safety programs plus environmental challenges. This promotes self-esteem, personal growth and builds positive relationships by interacting socially with family, friends, and our community. We can offer individuals opportunities to experience fishing in our local lakes, hiking, camping and other outdoor adventures.
Our Day Programs offer a large varied curriculum computer labs, academic classes, arts &crafts, exercise programs, kitchen skills, cooking classes, horticulture independent living skills, social skill building, health and safety programs plus environmental challenges.
Our programs help to promote self-esteem, personal growth and build positive relationships through interacting socially with family, friends, and our community at large. Because the pursuit to continue an education is important, through our extensive programs we offer several classes where objectives can be geared to individualized needs and personal choice.
Our participants enjoy outings in their communities such as bowling, going to the movies, picnic’s in the park, fishing in our local lakes, even strolling through the mall.
The Meadows D-TAC program is designed to give the Individuals we serve a program and a program of choice to excel in.
High School Graduates
- Contact your Support Coordinator at least 90 days before you graduate to began the authorization process.
- Discuss your transportation needs with your Support Coordinator.
- You may qualify for a Day Program, Group Support Employment or a combination of both.
- Meadows Catalina offers a 7or an 8 hour day, Monday-Friday.
Available for those participants' 16 years of age and up, who qualify. Contact your Support Coordinator well in advance to begin the authorization process. Our Summer School attendance roster fills up fast and the authorization process can take time.
All participants enrolled in the day programs have the opportunity to enjoy trips to exciting places. Trips have included, the Grand Canyon, Disneyland, The Renaissance Festival, the Desert Museum, camping trips, fishing adventures and others.
